Ingredients used in Beef with Black Bean Sauce
• Beef (choose cut suitable for stir-frying) - 250 grams.
• Brown onion, chopped - 1/2 numbers.
• Green pepper, chopped - 1/2 numbers.
• Minced garlic - 1 teaspoons.
• Light soy sauce - 1 teaspoons.
• Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoons.
• Sesame oil - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Sugar - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Pepper - to taste.
• Black bean sauce - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Cornflour mixed with 100ml water - 1 teaspoons.
Method:
Slice beef thinly, across the grain. Tenderize the beef slices with a meat mallet. Add seasoning ingredients* to the beef slices and mix well Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a wok. Stir-fry onions, garlic and green pepper. When fragrant, add in the black bean sauce and stir for 30 seconds. Add beef and stir-fry. When beef is almost cooked, add the cornflour mixture and stir until sauce is thick. Remove from heat serve.
