Ingredients used in Beerakai Pottu
• Beerakai - 1 large.
• Ajwain - 1 tablespoons.
• Salt - 1 to taste.
• Oil - 1 tablespoons.
Method:
1) This recipe is just made with the skin of turai (beerakai). 2) Dry the skin of beerakai for a day (this is optional). 3) Grind the skin of turai coarsely - Do not make a paste. 4) Take oil in a kadai and when hot, add ajwain 5) When ajwain changes colour, add the coarsely ground turai skin 6) Roast the above until the turai seems dry (If the turai skin is not dried, then you will have to cook for a longer time until all the moisture goes away and the colour changes). 7) Finally add salt and serve with hot rice! This is a very simple yet very tasty dish which is made at my home whenever we buy turai. Try it and you will love it!
