Ingredients used in Butter milk rasam (majjiga charu)
• Mustard seeds,zeera - 2 tsp .
• Methi seeds - 2 tsp .
• Ajwain seeds (vaamu) - 2 tsp .
• Curry leaves - 1 sprng .
• Red chilly - 1 .
• Green chillies - 2 .
• Garlic - 2 pods .
• Buttermilk (tastes good if its little sour) - 4 cups cup.
• Salt - to taste .
• Oil - 1 tbsp .
• Turmeric - 1 tsp .
Method:
1. Grind Garlic, green chillies, some zeera and salt. 2. Mix this paste in the buttermilk. 3. Heat oil in a pan and do the seasoning with ajwain, methi, mustard, zeera, red chilly and curry leaves,turmeric. 4. When they start spluttering, immediately transfer this into buttermilk and cover for 5 min.
