Ingredients used in carrot kuutu
• Turmreic powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - 1 ounces.
• Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Onion - 1 numbers.
• Dry red chillis - 2 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 2 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Shredded coconut - 4 tablespoons.
• Carrot - 3 numbers.
• Green chilli - 1 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 5 leaf.
• Corriander leaves - 2 springs.
Method:
Grate the carrots. Finely chop the onion. Grind together the coconut and cumin seeds and green chilli in a blender. Add the water if necessary. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds. Ater they splutter and the dry red chillis. Add the chopped onions. Saute. Add turmeric powder. Saute. Add the curry leaves. Add the ground mixture. Mix well. Let cook for a while. Add the grated carrots. Mix. Cover and cook for ten minutes. After cooked open let the water if any evoperate. And salt to taste. Garnish with cut corriander leaves. Serve.
