Ingredients used in crab masala Dry
• Coriander seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Red chilies - 2 numbers.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
• Pepper corns - 1 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon stick (1 inch) - 3 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic (crushed) - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger(crushed) - 1 tea spoon.
• Onion(chopped) - 1 number.
• Coconut (grated ) - 2 tablespoons.
• Onion (slices) - 2 numbers.
• Crab - 500 grams.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Green chili paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Mix masala powder(chili powder and malvani masala) - 1 tablespoon.
• Tomato puree - 1/2 cup.
• Coconut paste - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • First, clean the crab and cut it into pieces then keep it aside.
  • In a pan add coriander seeds, peppercorns, cumin seeds, red chilies, cinnamon stick, dry roast it after that add oil, onion slices, mix it and add grated coconut,mix and cook it, then transfer to a mixie jar, to make a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions, salt, mix and cook it until golden color.
  • Then add green chili paste, garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, garam masala, mix masala, tomato puree, mix it after that add 1 tablespoonearlier prepared malvani paste mix it and cook.
  • Now add crab, water, mix it and cover it with a lid then cook it.
  • Add coconut paste along with coconut milk, cook it, at last, add coriander leavesmix it and serve.
