Ingredients used in Dappalam
• Jaggery - 3 tablespoons.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch bunch.
• Tamarind extract - 3 fl. oz..
• Sweet potato - 1 numbers.
• Green chillies - 6 numbers.
• Drumsticks - 1 small.
• Tomatos - 2 small.
• Okra - 6 small.
• Chinese egg plant s - 2 small.
• Yellow pumpkin pieces - 1 cup cup.
• Sorakaya pieces - 1 cup.
• Besan - 2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Turmeric - 1 teaspoons.
• Chilly powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Seasonings - to fry.
Take water into a vessel enough to cover the vegetables. add some salt and turmeric along with all vegetables. Boil it and add cut green chilly pieces , jaggery and tamarind extract and chilly powder. Now make seasoning in seperate pan , add mustard,dry red chillies, hing, jeere and urad dal, let it fry and add to the above vegetables. Now take 2 tbs of besan mix with water with out any lumps and add it to the above preperation. Add coriander leaves. serve with rice.
