Ingredients used in Elish Macher Pulao
• Basmati rice - 3 cup.
• Ginger - 1 numbers.
• Green chili - 7 slice.
• Cardamom - 6 piece.
• Cinnamon - 1 numbers.
• Cloves - 8 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Sugar - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Bay leaf - 3 numbers.
• Ghee - 2 tablespoons.
• Hilsa shad fish - 8 piece.
• Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Water - 8 cup.
Method:
1. Marinate Hilsa pieces with salt and turmeric. Fry slightly using any oil. 2. Wash and soak rice for about one hour. 3. Put rice in a strainer to remove water. 4. Marinate rice with all the ingredients. Keep aside for 30 minutes. 5. Heat ghee and put rice. Fry for a few minutes. 6. Add water. Bring to boil till half done 7. Put the lightly fried hilsa pieces. 8. Lower heat and cook till done.
