Ingredients used in Garlic Pickle
• Hing (asafoetida) - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Fenugreek seeds - 3/4 teaspoons.
• Corriander seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Chilli powder - 3 teaspoons.
• Lemon juice - 1/2 cup.
• Garlic peeled and cut into halves - 1 cup.
• Gingely oil - 100 ml.
• Jaggery powderr - 1 teaspoons.
• Salt to taste - .
Method:
bull;Take a pan and roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds and fenugreek seeds till golden brown without oil. bull;Powder the roasted ingredients finely and keep aside. bull;Heat the pan and pour the oil. bull; When the oil is hot add mustard seeds and when it splutters add Hing and lemon juice. bull;When the juice boils add the peeled garlic. bull;After 5 min add salt, chilli powder and the powdered ingredients. bull;When the juice becomes thick to pickle consistency add jaggery powder and remove from the flame. bull;Allow it to cool for some time and store in air tight container.
