Ingredients used in HALEEM(NUTRITIONS BLEND OF WHEAT AND MEAT)
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Lime juice - 2 numbers.
• Cripsy fried onions - 1 cup.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Green masala(choped cilantro and mint) - 1 cup.
• Garammasala(ground spices like cloves, cinnamon and cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Haleem wheat - 1 lbs.
• Lamb or chicken(boneless) - 2 lbs.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
• Salt and vegetable oil - as required.
Method:
  • Soak Haleem wheat for 24hours.
  • Marinate meat with ginger garlic paste,salt,red chillie powder,garam masala and turmeric.
  • Pressure cook the marinated meat and soaked wheat with 2 cups of water for 30-45 minutes at medium flame.
  • Coarsely grind it after cooling.
  • Pour it in to a heavy bottom skillet and add the green masala,lime juice and some more water.cook till the blisters start .
  • Garnish with cilantro ,crispy fried onions and lemon wedges.
