Ingredients used in Kallu shop style crab
• Flower crab - 500 grams.
• Shallots ( small onion) - 400 grams.
• Crushed dry chilli - 4-5 tablespoons.
• Coconut oil - 3 tablespoons.
Method:
Cut clean crab, take shallots almost same quantity as crab ( 400 grms for 1/2 kg crab) and slice it to small pieces. Heat oil add shallots and saut till soft now add 4-5 tbs of crushed chilli ( depending on how spicy u need it) and fry for a minute now add cleaned crab and salt and keep frying till the shell turns orange colour and they gravy is brown . Usually water oozes out from crab if not add 1/2 cup of water. You can fry curry leaves separately and add to this.
