Ingredients used in Lotte Macher Jhol
• Lotte mach (bombay duck/ bombil) - 500 grams.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 large.
Method:
First wash the fish. Then mix the fish with a pinch of salt and turmeric and keep aside. Add oil in a pan, add whole garam masala, when garam masalaÔÇÖs aroma comes out, add chopped onion and fry till it starts to getting little colour. Now add garlic paste and fry it till it loses its raw flavour. Add red chilli powder turmeric and saut it for few second. Fry for some more time and remove it from flame. Now add this prepared masala and sliced tomato into fish and mix well. Add very little water and mix it slowly. Cook the fish for few minutes till it comes to your preferred consistency. Adjust salt as per your taste. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with rice.
