Ingredients used in Pasta with Turkey Balls in Tomato Sauce
• Tomato puree - 1 cup.
• Tomato paste - 1 cup.
• Onion (chipped fine) - 1 numbers.
• Oii & butter (2 tblsp each) - 2 tablespoons.
• Pasta of you choice - 500 grams.
• Grated garlic for balls - 1 clove.
• Oregano - for balls - 2 tablespoons.
• Semolina - 3 tablespoons.
• Egg - 1 numbers.
• Grated parmesan cheese - 2 tablespoons.
• Turkey or beef mince - 250 grams.
• Tomato juice - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 2 tablespoons.
• Milk - 1 cup.
• Garlic (chopped fine) for sauce - 1 clove.
• Oregano (chopped fine) for sauce - 2 tablespoons.
1. Make Balls ---- Mix the cheese, egg, semolina oregano and garlic into the meat mince and mix well. Make small balls and set aside in the fridge, 2. Make Sauce --- Heat Oil and butter, pour the Onion, garlic and chopped oregano. Add Salt. Add tomato paste, puree and juice. Cook for 5 mins, Add sugar - cook for 10 mins. Bring to sauce consistency. Should not be too thick or too thin. cause the balls with absorb some of the juice. Add milk - simmer for 5 mins. Add balls into sauce, do not stir, cover partially and let simmer on low until the balls are cooked about 7 to 10 mins. 3. Cook pasta of your choice as per package instuctions and pour the sauce over it. Enjoy!!!
