Ingredients used in Payesh
• Strands of kesar - 6 numbers.
• Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons.
• Chopped pistachios - 2 tablespoons.
• Soft jaggery - 200 grams.
• Nutmeg powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Milk - 2000 ml.
• Rice - 200 grams.
Method:
ÔÇóWash 200 gms rice and leave it for drying. ÇóBoil the milk for about 15 minutes. ÇóAdd rice. Cook till rice is well done and milk becomes thick. ÇóAdd cardamom powder, kesar and nutmeg powder. ÇóAdd jaggery now. Stir till jaggery melts. ÇóTake out from the fire. ÇóGarnish with chopped almonds and pistachios. ÇóPayesh is ready.
