Ingredients used in Peas Pulao
• Salt - to taste.
• Lemon - 1 numbers.
• Garlic - 8-10 clove.
• Green chillies - 4-5 numbers.
• Onion(sliced) - 2 numbers.
• Peas - 1 cup.
• Basmati rice or normal rice - 2 cup.
• Oil - 2 1/2 teaspoons.
• Curry leaves - 10-12 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tablespoons.
Method:
1)Wash Rice amp; soak it for 15 mins. 2)In a pan heat oil,add Mustard Seeds amp; Cumin seeds,let them splutter.Add Curry leaves,Green Chillies, garlic and Sliced onions fry for a min,add peas and fry for min.Turn Off Heat. 3)Add the above prepared mixture to Soked rice and mix.Then add salt to it ,mix and cook. 4)When rice is prepared Add lemon Juice and mix.Add salt if required. Serve it hot with any garvy.I usually serve it with Mutter Panner . (Note:-You can add 2 tsp of turmeric to the mixture,it well make rice yellow color.The above rice will be white in colour.I prepare both ways).

I have tried the same recipe, albiet without mustard and rather use bay leaves, cinnamon, aniseed and cloves.... it is an exotic recipe and very easy to make !!!

I think that 2 tsp of turmeric a little toomuch.
