Potato & Bottle Gourd Curry with Rava Puris

Ingredients used in Potato & Bottle Gourd Curry with Rava Puris
• Potato(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Dry coconut pieces - 1/4 cups.
• Cashew nuts - 1 tablespoon.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Bottle gourd(chopped) - 1 number.
• Green chilies - 4 number.
• Mustard oil - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Oil - as required.
• Semolina - as required.
Method:
  • Boil water in a pan, add chopped pieces of onions, potatoes, bottle gourd, slitted green chilies and cook well.
  • Meanwhile, grind dry coconut pieces & cashew nuts to a fine powder, transfer to the above cookingpan, toss it, sprinkle salt and cook well.
  • For tempering, heat mustard oil in a pan, add mustard seeds when they splutter, add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, curry leaves, toss it, transfer the tempering to the prepared curry and mix well.
  • Take wheat flour in a bowl, add semolina, seasonwith salt, add knead to asoft dough by adding water in small quantities.
  • Take small quantities of the prepared dough, roll them to puris, deep fry in hot oil and transfer to a plate.

Hot Rava Puris are now ready to serve withPotato & Bottle Gourd Curry.
