Ingredients used in Pound Cake
• Butter, softened - 1 anda1/2 cup.
• Sugar - 2 cup.
• Eggs, at room temperature - 6 numbers.
• Vanilla - 1 teaspoons.
• Flour - 2 and 3/4 cup.
Method:
  • Preheat oven to 325F. Grease and flour dust a 10-inch tube pan or two 9x5 inch loaf pans and set aside.

    Cream the butter and sugar and add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Beat in the vanilla then the flour. Spoon batter into the prepared pan(s) and bake for one hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes then turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
