Ingredients used in prawn biryani(Andhra Style)
• Ginger-garlic paste - 2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Poppy seeds(white)/gusgus - 1 tablespoons.
• Black cumin seeds/shah jeera - 1 tablespoons.
• Javetri or mace - half tablespoons.
• Cinnamon sticks - 2 numbers.
• Cloves and green cardamom - 4 numbers.
• Cashew nuts - 2 tablespoons.
• Bay leaf - 2 or 3 numbers.
• Ghee/butter - 3 teaspoons.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Yogurt/curd - half cup.
• Green chiili(cut into halves) - 3 numbers.
• Tomatoes chopped(medium size) - 2 numbers.
• Onions chopped slices(medium size) - 2 numbers.
• Basmati rice(250 grams) - 2 cup.
• Prawns - 200 grams.
• Coriander/daniya powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Garam masala powder - half teaspoons.
• Fresh cilantro/coriander leaves chopped - 2 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Water - 3 cup.
Method:

Firstly,clean the prawns with some salt/wheat flour and water.with this,bad odour/smell goes away.Now apply some salt,red chiili powder,ginger-garlic paste,turmeric(enough to prawns) to cleaned prawns in one vessel(no need to add water here) and put on a low flame to cook for 5 to 10 minutes till the water content is obsorbed.After finishing this process,keep it a side. Secondly,take the cooker and put oil.once oil heated up,put cashew nuts, whole garam masalas like bay leaves,cloves,mace,cardamom,cinnamon,poppy,black cumin seeds and fry it for 2mins.Add chopped onion slices,green chilli and fry till onion turns into brown color.Add some ginger-garlic paste and fry it till oil comes out.Add chopped tomatoes, cook till they become pulpyand oil leaves from masala. Next,add cooked prawns,masala powders like red chilli powder,daniya powder,garam masala,salt and fry for 2mins.Add some curd,stir,cook for 5mins.Add half an hour soaked basmati rice,stir it well for 2mins.Add 3cup of water,ghee,some coriander leaves and put cooker for 2 or 3 whistles.
