Ingredients used in Rice with Tom Kar Gai
• Water - 2 cup.
• Regular brown or white rice - 1 cup.
• Chicken broth - 3/4 ounces.
• Water - 1 cup.
• Lime juice - 2 tablespoons.
• Fresh chopped ginger - 1 teaspoons.
• Salt - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Sugar - 2 teaspoons.
• Coconut milk - 14 ounces.
• Cilantro leaves - .
• Crushed red pepper - .
Method:
Place the water into a medium size saucepan. Place on the stove at high heat and bring to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes. Pour into 4 bowls. In a medium size saucepan, mix chicken broth, water, lime juice, ginger, salt, and sugar. Place over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in coconut milk and cook for 5 more minutes. Pour into bowls with rice. Top with cilantro leaves or crushed red pepper.
