Ingredients used in sambar dhal
• curry leaves few .
• asafoetida (hing) pinch .
• castor oil 1/4 Teaspoons.
• green chilly 1 Numbers.
• turmeric 1/4 Teaspoons.
• jeera 1/4 Tablespoons.
• tomato 1 Numbers.
• red chilly 2 Numbers.
• garlic pods 4 Numbers.
• shallots (small onion) 10 Numbers.
• toor dhal 2 Cup.
• corriander leaves few .
• split channa dal(kadalaparpu) 1 Teaspoons.
• urud dal 1 Teaspoons.
• mustard 1 Teaspoons.
How to make the recipe:
Cook dhal with shallots -5, garlic- 2, jeera, red chilly, turmeric,tomato and castor oil with enough water. Keep this in cooker for 3 sounds. If u want u can takeout the water for rasam. Finally fry in pan split channa dal,urud dal,mustard seeds,curry leaves,add the rest of the onions amp; garlic,greenchilly,asafoetida.Pour this in the above dhal. Garnish with corriander leaves.
