Ingredients used in TAMARIND UPMA WITH BROKEN RICE-3
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Urad dal - 1 teaspoons.
• Chana dal - 1 teaspoons.
• Dry red chillies - 2 numbers.
• Green chillies - 2 numbers.
• Broken rice - 1 cup.
• Ground nuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Salt - 0 to taste.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Water - 1 cup.
• Jaggery - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
Method:

1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, ground nuts, dry red chillies, green chillies and saute it. 2. Add broken rice, salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida and saute it. 3. Add tamarind juice, water, jaggery and check for seasoning then close the lid and pressure cook for 2 whistle. 4. Now the tamarind upma is ready to serve with raita.
