Ingredients used in Tomato Rice
• Bay leaf - 1 leaf.
• Green chillies (cut into long pieces) - 4 piece.
• Jeera - 2 teaspoons.
• Cloves - 1 piece.
• Cinnamon - 1 stricks.
• Cardomon - 3 piece.
• Garlic & ginger paste - 1 tablespoons.
• Onions (cut into long pieces) - 1 cup.
• Carrot - 1/2 cup.
• Green peas - 1/2 cup.
• Tomato puree - 2 cup.
• Basmati rice - 2 cup.
• Coriander leaves - 1 cup.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - 2 cup.
• Fried cashew nuts - 1/2 cup.
• Ghee - 2 teaspoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
1. In a pan add oil amp; add cardomon, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, jeera, turmeric powder and fry . 2. Later add green chilles, carrot, green peas and fry for 2 mins and later add onions and fry till they turn into light brown colour. 3. Add Ginger amp; Garlic paste, salt and fry till the raw smell goes. 4. Now add washed basmati rice and fry for 3mins. 5. Add 2 cups of tomato puree and boil for 3 mins. 6. Add 2 cups of water and sait to taste and shit all into rice cooker. 7. When rice is cooked add coriander leaves and fried cashewnuts and serve with onion raita.
