Ingredients used in Turai Khus Khus recipe
• Ridge gourd/turai - 4 numbers.
• Khus khus seeds - 6 tablespoons.
• Haldi powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Red chillie powder - 2 to.
• Salt - 1 to.
• Dry red chillie - 2 teaspoons.
• Onions - 2 large.
• Refined oil - 5 tablespoons.
Method:
Peel off the skin from Turai and potatoes. Cut into small peices. Cut 2 Onions sliced. Make a paste of khus khus(Poppy seeds) and dry red chillie. (Make sure that the khus khus paste should not be fine. The seeds should be little bit visible in the paste). Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the khus khus paste into it. Then add haldi powder, red chille powder and salt. Cook for twol minutes in medium flame.Then add onions to it. After 2 mins add the Turais and potatoes into it. Mix it properly and cover the lid. Remove the lid after the potatoes and Turai are properly cooked. This can be eaten with White Rice and dal.
