Ingredients used in Ulli karam (Erra karam)
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - some to fry.
• Peeled garlic pods - 3-4 numbers.
• Red dried chillies - 6-8 numbers.
• Chopped onions - 1 big.
• Curry leaves - 10 numbers.
• Tamarind extract - some teaspoons.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, and add onions, red chillies, curry leaves and garlic pods and fry till golden brown. Remove from heat amp; let cool to room temperature. Blend into a fine paste with tamarind, salt.
