Ingredients used in vadai curry
• All garam masala items(cloves,elachi,briyani leave..etc.) - .
• Gasagasa - 2 teaspoons.
• Coconut - 4 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - pinch.
• Garam masala - 2 teaspoons.
• Chilli powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Cumin powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Gingergarlic paste - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Green chilli - 3 numbers.
• Red chili - 3 numbers.
• Cashewnut - 20 numbers.
• Onions - 5 numbers.
• Besan gram gram dal(soak fo 2 hours) - 1 cup.
• Jeera - 2 teaspoons.
• Garlic finely chopped - 3 numbers.
• Ghee - .
• Salt to taste - .
1.To make pokoda balls Soak dal for 2 hrs and add 1tsp of jeera, 1tsp of dhaniya, red chilli, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and grind into a coarse paste. 2. Add finely chopped onions(3 number), turmeric powder and salt o this paste and make into balls and deep fry to golden brown(need not be very crispy) 3.Pressure cook diced onions(2 number)and cashew(12 number) with turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. 4.Grind coconut,gasa gasa and remaining cashew to a fine paste. 5.Add the cool pokoda balls to the cooked masala and add garam masala powder and add water till the balls sink. 6.let it cook for 10 min in slow flame, then add the fine paste of coconut to it. 7.Finally heat some ghee in pan, fry jeera, all masala items(cloves,elachi..etc),gharlic and finely chopped onions 8.Add it to the masala and let it cook in slow flame for half an hour till the balls mixes well with the masala.
