Description

This is a breakfast item. This may also be served as an evening snack along with mirchi bajji. I learnt it from my momPreparation: Take a large bowl and pour water into it and then add puffed rice. Let the puffed rice soak in water. Cut onion into thin and long slices. Wash and grind green chillis into paste. Grind putnalu and coconut powder. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, add mustard seeds, let them pop, add the cumin seeds, urad dal and chana dal and let them brown. Next add red chillis, curry leaves, chopped onions and green chillis paste and sauteacute; till onions turn slightly brown. Next take out puffed rice from water and add to onions and stir slowly on low heat. After 2 mins, add salt and grinded powder. After 2 mins, add lemon juice on top and serve hot.
