Description

This recepe is given to me by my mother. Everybody just loves it. Very few ingredients are needed.First just smash the cloves, cardamom and Cinnamon. Dont make them into powder. just pound them. Wash Basmati rice, drain all the water and keep it aside. Take warm coconut milk. First heat ghee and oil in a Non stick cooking pan. Once it is medium heated, add the smashed cloves, cardamom and cinnamon. Once you feel the aroma, add the coconut milk. Add turmeric and salt. Salt should be enough to both the coconut milk and the rice. So based on that add the salt. let the coconut milk boil, add the drained basmati rice and cook on slow flame. The best thing is change the whole content from stove top to electric rice cooker and switch on to cook button. It will cook and give wonderful coconut rice which looks very good in bright yellow.
