Description

This is special and tasty sambar made with large green chillies and it can be served with rice.

1. Take big green chillies and give small gashes. 2. Take a pan and add coriander seeds, pepper, ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds and dry roast it. 3. Take the blender and add fresh coconut, green chillies, dry roasted ingredients, little water and blend it into a smooth paste. 4. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, big green chillies, turmeric powder, and saute it. 5. Add some curry leaves, asafoetida and saute it for a min then add tamarind juice, salt and keep the lid on it to boil it for 3 mins. 6. Add smooth paste, boiled and mashed toor dal, sugar, curry leaves, coriander leaves. 7. Boil it for 5 mins and check for seasoning. 8. Now the large green chilly sambar is ready to serve with rice.
