Description

Chitranna is a favorite dish of karnataka especially Bengaluru, Mysore, Tumkur regions. One of the easy receipe yet liked by many people. 1. Prepare steamed Rice 2. Heat oil in a pan, put groundnut seeds and heat it till it is brown and keep it separate 3Heat 1-2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add mustard. 4. Once Mustard seeds starts chattering, add Curry leaves, Channa Dal followed by urad dal, heat till it becomes little brown. (Cashew nuts may be optional) 5. Add Garlic, onion saute well in a low flame for few minutes 6. add Salt Lemon juice to above and switchoff the stove. Mix this above mixtuer into already prepared rice, addd grated co-conut, fried ground nut amp; chopped corriander leaves. Variations.1. You can use Tamarind juice, or grated mango instead of Lemon juice to have different taste, variation 2. You can use Green peas after onion is saute to make it nutritious.
