SORREL-GONGURA CHICKEN

Sorrel chicken is a popular andhra chicken curry cooked with sorrel leaves. Sorrel chicken tastes tangy, hot, soft and delicious.

• Take the pressure cooker then add chicken and salt.
• Cook for 2 whistles and keep it aside.
• Take oil in a hot pan and add onions, green chillies, tomato, ginger garlic paste and saute it until they become golden brown colour.
• Now add chicken pieces, salt, red chilly powder, turmeric and cook it.
• Now add sorrel leaves and then cook for another5 mins.
• Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it.

Note: You can try this recipe with mutton, prawns too and avoid ginger garlic if you are using dry fish and dry prawns.
