Description

Many people have heard of eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, or even veal parmigiana. This is a new twist on an old vegetarian standby1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees Farenheit 2) Slice the Tofu into 1/4 inch thick slices. The block should give 6 slices. 3) Squeeze each slice of tofu out in a paper towel to remove as much water as you can without compromising the integrity of the tofu. 4)Thoroughly combine the bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and italian seasoning. 5) For better adherence of the crumb topping, dip the tofu into the beaten egg. This step can be omitted if you do not eat eggs, however, the crumbs will not stick as well. 6) Then dip the tofu in the crumb mixture until fully coated. Place on a baking sheet 7)Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Flip them over and bake for 10-15 minutes more, to desired crispiness. 8) Top with Marinara Sauce and Mozzerella cheese. Place back in the oven for 1-2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt on top.
