Batter  Fried  Chicken is one of the most popular poultry recipes that most of us are fond of and it comes deliciously coated with subtly spiced flour batter which makes the outer casing crispy and brown. On bite, the fried chicken is extremely succulent and yummy to taste. There are various variations of making a batter fried chicken while this is one of the simplest and easiest ways of preparing a quickie non-vegetarian starter/ appetizer. Kids would just love to eat.


 


Batter fried chicken is one of the most-liked trendy snack especially among kids. The crispy fried chicken tastes extremely remarkable with subtle flavors lingering into the batter mix. This snack goes well served with finger chips, coleslaw or any sauce of your choice. It can also be eaten on its own. Making of the magical batter used for the outer casing is the vital element in preparing the batter fried chicken; hence do use the correct volumes and quantities according to your taste which would enhance the taste of the fried chicken.

Recipe of Batter Fried Chicken:


  


Ingredients:


Chicken                                  -       1000 gms


Pepper powder                     -    1 tbsp


Salt                                              -      to taste


Eggs                                           -     2 nos


All-purpose flour (maida)   -      200 gms


Soda                                         -       ½ cup


 


Method:



  1. Take a bowl and add the chicken pieces, salt and water. Place it in the refrigerator overnight.

  2. Take a bowl, add pepper powder, salt, all-purpose flour, eggs, soda and mix well to make thick batter.

  3. Take out the chicken, drain the water and dip it into the flour batter and let it rest for another 1 hour.

  4. Deep fry the chicken in hot oil at 170 degree C for about 16 to 20 minutes.

  5. Serve hot.
