Apple parathas is a sweet delight that bring a smile on your child's face. It is easy to prepare sweet dish Apple Paratha is a sweet delight that brings a smile on your kid’s face. It is very easy to prepare this sweet dish. Apple Paratha is a delicious, appetizing and highly flavorful Indian flat bread made with mix of all-purpose flour, bread crumbs flavoured with mint leaves, cinnamon powder and sweetened with sugar and apple all mix well together and rolled into thin sheets and pan fried until browned.


 


Apple Paratha is a wholesome, nutritious and healthy food best for growing kids. They can also easily carry in their lunch boxes. Paratha as such has its own unique identity in Indian food culture mainly for its explicit taste, variety and nutritional values. Paratha are commonly prepared in Northern India and often made with whole wheat flour kneaded into dough and pan fried on a tava or griddle. There are a variety of parathas that can be prepared.


 


Paratha are either made plain or stuffed with variety of spicy vegetables mix which includes potatoes, radish, paneer, cauliflower, green leafy vegetables etc. Stuffed parathas can be eaten simply with a dollop of butter spread on top, pickle and yogurt whereas a plain paratha goes with either any meat or vegetable curries. Paratha is made in different shapes such as round, square, triangular or heptagonal.  They can be eaten anytime in the day. You could also make parathas as per your taste giving different variations in taste and flavour. Paratha makes a complete wholesome meal and is stomach filling.


Recipe:  Apple Paratha



Ingredients:



  1. Apple           -        1 no

  2. Cinnamon powder           -        1-2 pinch

  3. Sugar           -        ½ cup

  4. Mint leaves, chopped -        ¼ bunch

  5. Bread crumbs -        ½ cup

  6. All-purpose flour           -        1 cup

  7. Salt           -        to taste

  8. Oil           -        1-2 tsp

  9. Ghee or Butter -        1 tsp


Directions:



  1. Remove the peel of apple, grate and keep aside.

  2. Heat a pan, add grated apple, cinnamon powder, sugar, finely chopped mint leaves and sauté well.

  3. Once the mixture is slightly thick, switch off the flame and add bread crumbs and mix well. All to rest for some time.

  4. Take a bowl, add all-purpose flour, little salt, 1 tsp oil and mix well to make a soft dough.

  5. Divide the dough into portions. Take each portion to make flat round shape using hands.

  6. Stuff the apple mixture in the center and close the edges.

  7. Apply ghee or butter to your hands and clean wrap or polythene sheet and press it with hand.

  8. Heat little butter pan, add apple paratha and cook over both sides.

  9. Apple paratha is ready to be served.


 Apples taste absolutely great. There are a variety of apples available in the market. They are easy to carry, quick snack and extremely healthy to eat. Look out for nice coloured, fresh, crisp and sweet apples which are beneficial to your overall health to make it a part of your daily diet. Apple is an excellent fruit very delicious, crunchy and packed with enormous rich phyto nutrients. They are the best fruit with sweetest taste and juiciest flesh.

Puréed apples are generally known as apple sauce. Apples are also made into apple butter and apple jelly. They are also used (cooked) in meat dishes. During the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah, Apples are eaten with honey to symbolize a sweet new year. Apples are a fruit which can be used in many ways. Apples can be just sliced and eaten just like that or included in in pies, breads, cakes, custard, salads, and ciders, the apple is found in many recipes.


 


In most of the western countries, Apples are a part of their breakfast in including them in recipes like Apple Muffins, Apple Bread, Apple sauce, Apple butter or jelly or jam.
