Recipe of Kainda Pharshi

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Green Pumpkin 1000 Grams
Mustard Oil 3 Tablespoons
Asafoetida A Pinch
Fenugreek Seeds 1 Teaspoons
Turmeric 1/2 Teaspoons
Salt To Taste
Green Chillies 4-5 Numbers
Garlic 2 Teaspoons
Cumin Seed 1/2 Teaspoons
Coriander Powder 1/2 Teaspoons

Directions

1.dice/grate the outer portion of the pumpkin without peeling it.discard the inner portion.

2.heat the oil and add the asafoetida and fenugreek seeds.saute for a few seconds.

3.add the pumpkin, cover and cook for 10 mins.

4.add the turmeric powder and salt .toss a little and then add green chillies and garlic.cook further for 3-4 mins, tossing occasionally.

5.add cumin seed-coriander powader and cook covered for 3-4 mins on a low flame.

6.remove from the fire and serve hot.
