Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Coconut 0.5 Pound
Onions 2 Big
Saradine/ Mackrel 1 Pound
Bell Tamarind / Valam Puli 2 Small
Ginger Paste

Directions

>stir fry the fish >now saute the onions with 1tbs of turmeric powder, mustard seeds, oil, green chillies and curry leaves >add the 2tbs of ginger paste >add a cup of water and the bell tamarind >now add the stir fried fish >cook till the water reduces >now add the coconut powder and salt to taste >delicious meen peera is ready to be served

Recipe Tips

saradine is best can be made with canned fish, if using canned fish, omit the stir-frying step
