Ingredients of Methi Aloo

tumeric   Pinch
salt   To Taste
hing   Pinch
cumin seeds  1 Teaspoons
garlic cloves  5 Piece
kasturi methi leaves  1 Tablespoons
tomatoes  2 Numbers
potatoes  4 Numbers
coriander powder  1 Teaspoons
red chilli powder  2 Teaspoons
oil  1 Tablespoons


Directions
1) Heat oil in a pan. 2) Add cumin seeds let it splutter. Add a pinch of hing. 3) Crush the garlic cloves and add it. Fry for few seconds till light brown. 4) Wash kasturi methi leaves and add it..stir fry for few seconds.. 5) Add chopped potatoes to it. Add salt. Stir. Cover and cook for few mins till potatoes are half cooked. Make sure to stir constantly to avoid the potatoes to stick to the pan. 6) Add chopped tomatoes at this point...Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder..Stir well. 7) Cover and cook till the tomatoes are cooked well. (to a mashed consistency). 8) If the mixture sticks to the pan sprinkle little water. 9) Cook till the potatoes are soft and well steamed. Adjust salt and spices as per your desire.
