Ingredients used in Mutton Khorma
• Mutton - 500 grams.
• Dry coconut - 30 grams.
• Onions - 115 grams.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Garlic - 5 cloves.
• Red chillies - 5 numbers.
• Curd - 1 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Poppy seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Cloves - 2 numbers.
• Peppercorns - 2 grams.
• Cardamoms - 2 numbers.
• Oil - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
Wash and cut meat. Soak in curd for half an hour. Grind together poppy seeds, dry coconut, garlic, ginger, coriander powder, red chillies, green chillies and half the onions. Heat oil, fry reamining sliced onions. Add ground spices and meat. Fry for about 15 minutes. Add remaining curds and tepid water and cook till meat is tender. Add roasted and powdered cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns and cardamoms. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes more and serve hot.
