SHRIMP PULAO

Ingredients used in SHRIMP PULAO
• Oil - 4-6 tablespoons.
• Shrimp - 1 cup.
• Onions(chopped) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chilies - 2 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Tomato(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Coconut milk - 1/2 cup.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Lime juice - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Rice(soaked for 20 minutes) - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add shrimp and saute it, transfer to a plate and keep aside.
  • In the same pan add onions, salt, green chilies, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and saute it for 1 minute.
  • To it add tomato, coconut milk, water and cook it for 5 minutes with the lid on it.
  • To it add red chili powder, lime juice, garam masala, little more water, shrimp and cook it
  • for 2 minutes and remove shrimp with help of ladle and keep aside.
  • To the boiling water add rice and cook it until it is 80% done.
  • Remove lid and arrange shrimp and place lid and cook it for 5 minutes on slow flame.

Now shrimp pulao is ready to serve.
