Spicy Bittergard masala
Author : Vahchef
Main Ingredient : bitter melon, karela
Servings : 0 persons
Published date : November 27, 2016

Ingredients used in Spicy Bittergard masala
• Red chilli powder - 4 -5 tablespoons.
• Coriander seeds - 4 - 5 tablespoons.
• Cumin seeds - 2 - 3 tablespoons.
• Peanuts - 1 small cup.
• Garlic - 5 - 6 piece.
• Ginger - 1 large.
• Bittergourd - 5 piece.
• Salt - 1 teaspoons.
• Termeric powder - 2 pinch.
• Oil - 5 tablespoons.
Method:
Dear Chef, we were watching your reciepe since 2 years we loved it really. 1 . Take bittergourds wash it well and make 2 pieces(half) for 1 bittergourd, and slice it same as we do for brinjol(not cut completely, attachment should b there now we have 5 bittergourds - pieces are 10 and also depends on lengh of bittergourd, if it is too big make it 3 pieces) 2. Do for all bittergourds like that, take one bowl with water + salt(1/2 spoon) + termeric powder(3 pinches) and put these cut bittergourds into this water. 3. Take one kadai and pour Oil, once oil is heated, deep fry all the bittergourds(upto more than golden brown) and take one tissue in plate and keet these fried bittergourds into plate to remove oil in it. (keep it a side) 4. Roast peanuts , coriander seeds seperately and keep a side. 5.Take garlic (5 -6 pieces) ,ginger one big bunch , coriander seeds (rosted), cumin seeds, salt, peanuts(roasted) (replacement of this we can use sesame seeds or coconut powder), Red chilli powder, termiric. (we can add more ingradiants if we want) then grind it well.finally it comes like paste. 6. Take one by one bitter gard and keep the mixed stuff(paste) into bittergourd pieces inside(same as we do for brinjol masala). 7. Then take a pan and pour 3 - 5 spoons of oil and heat some time, and then take the stuffed bittergards and keep these one by one into pan then keep a plate onthat ,keep stove into medium. 8. After 10 mins turn these bittergourds keep medium heat for some time and after 10 mins do the same again , so it will me rosted all the sides. 9.Take it into plate and ganish with onions and coriander leaves. 10. Serve with plane dal (add ghee to dal rice) then just take bites of bittergourd. Note: oil will be observed to bittergourds while frying in pan so sugested to pour 1 spoon of oil while turning the bittergourds. and peanuts will give good taste so epends on us how much quantity we want and also red chilli power depend on us. It will be so nice for spicy food lovers and bittergourd lovers and also who hates bittergourd(bccedil;oz of bitterness) will sure love this receipe. Please mail me if the reciepe is not clear for you to understand. i will try to post with steps of pictures for the process. Thank you very much. Teena.(from UK) sushrutha3@gmail.com
