step 1: peel off the skin of bananas..cut into two pieces longitudinally and then again two pieces of each frm center as to get four pieces from one banana.
step 2: marinate the banana pieces with a pinch of turmeric powder, chilly powder and a pinch of salt.keep it aside for 5 mins.
Meanwhile prepare the gravy:
step 3: heat the pan again and add 3 tsp of oil
step 4: once the oil is heated, add methi seeds
step 5: after the seeds turns a little brown add all the masalas (mustard paste,onion paste,cumin powder,coriander powder, chilly powder, garam masala,turmeric powder,salt to taste) and fry till the oil starts separating.
step 6: add sufficient quantity of water so as to make a not to thick nor very thick gravy. and close the lid.
step 7: now heat the pan ,put two tsp of oil on the pan.
step 8: fry the banana pieces on medium flame till it turns golden .( no deep frying)
step 9: once the gravy starts boling, add the fried bananas and let it shimmer for 3 mins on low flame.
step 9: garnich with chopped coriander
step 10: serve with rice
