Ingredients used in Bittergourd salad!!!!!!
• Jaggery - lemon size piece.
• Tamarind - lemon size piece.
• Desicated/grated coconut - 2cups cup.
• Greenchillies - 5 piece.
• Finely chopped bittergourd - 1cup cup.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Chopped onion - 1 cup.
• Oil - 1 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
fry bittergourd and green chillies with oil and a pinch of salt till crisp. keep aside. in a large mixing bowl add thick tamarind juice extracted with very little water, pounded jaggery, mix to dissolve. Add fried ones, mix, add all the rest of the ingredients except salt and mix gently. salt can be added just before serving.
