Cholafali - Gujarati snack

Ingredients used in Cholafali - Gujarati snack
• Urad dal - 1 cup.
• Black salt - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry mango powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Chickpea flour - 1/4 cup.
• Baking soda - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Hing - pinch.
• Red chili powder - 1 - 2 tablespoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Dry roast urad dal then grind to fine powder. Keep aside.
  • Take chickpea flour in a bowl, add baking soda, salt (to taste), powdered urad dal, hing, red chili powder and mix it to a stiff dough by adding water along with a teaspoon of oil.
  • Now roll thedough into small pooris, give gashes to the pooris and deep fry in hot oil.
  • Prepare a mixture of black salt, dry mango powder, red chili powder and sprinkle on top of fried cholafalis.

Cholafalis are now ready to serve
