Ingredients used in KANDA BACHALI KOORA
• Yam (kanda gada) - 500 grams.
• Bachali (pohi leaves) - 4 bunch.
• Lemon juice - 2 teaspoons.
• Garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chili paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 spring.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Asafoetida - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Black gram - 1 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chillies - 4 numbers.
Method:
  • First peel yam and make into pieces.
  • Clean and chop pohi leaves.
  • Cook Yam and pohi leaves in a cooker for four whistles.
  • Then blend it to make a paste and keep it aside.
  • After that take a pan and heat oil then add tempering.
  • Now add asafoetida, garlic paste and green chillies paste.
  • Saute it thoroughly and add the blended paste.
  • Add mustard seeds paste, lemon juice, salt and saute them.
  • Switch off the flame and serve this curry with hot rice.
