Ingredients used in paruppu chutney
• Curry leaves - 3 sticks.
• Red chilies - 4 no.
• Tomato - 1 no.
• Onion - 1 no.
• Toor dal - 1 cup.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Dry roast the red chilli and toor dal in a pan. when the dal turns light brown remove it from fire and add it to the blender.
  • Add some water if needed. grind it to a fine paste. keep it aside.
  • Heat little oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds, when it crackles, add urad dal and curry leaves.
  • Then add chopped onions to it. fry until it turns golden brown. then add the tomatos. cook it for few minutes until the tomatos are mashed.
  • Now add the mixture to it and add required water. Add the required salt and cook for another 5 minutes.
