Sago Moong Dal Sweet

Ingredients used in Sago Moong Dal Sweet
• Sago - 1 cup.
• Moong dal - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 1/4 cup.
• Jaggery - 1/4 cup.
• Milk - 100 ml.
• Salt - pinch.
• Ghee - 2 tea spoon.
• Almond(badam) - 5 piece.
• Cashewnuts - 5 piece.
• Chironji - 5 piece.
• Cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Soak sago and moong dal for 4 hrs.
  • Boil Milk and add soaked moong dal and sago in it for 10minutes.
  • Keep stirring it in between. When sago is cooked 80%, it becomes transparent add jaggery. Also, add a little bit of sugar, mix it and add cardamom powder.
  • Cook it for another 10minutes and when it becomes thick switch off the flame.
  • For tempering add ghee in a pan and add cashew nuts, badam, and chironji, saute for a while.
  • Switch off the flame and add a pinch of salt. Transfer this tempering into the sweet and cook it for another 2-3 minutes with the lid on it.
  • After 3-5 minutes just switch off the flame and after 10 minutes of resting serve it.
