Ingredients used in STEAMED TRIDOSHI SWEET POTATO WITH BROKEN WHEAT SALAD
• Sweet potatoes - 1 number.
• Ginger juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Lime juice - 4 teaspoons.
• Honey - 1-2 teaspoons.
• Black salt - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Wheat rava - 1 cup.
• Chopped onions - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
• Chopped tomatoes - 1 number.
• Ghee - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
Cut sweet potatoes in big chunks and take ginger juice, lime juice, honey, black salt, cumin powder, turmeric powder in a bowl for dressing. Add the potato pieces in ginger mixture to drench it thoroughly. Now transfer the sweet potato pieces in the steamer then add partially soaked wheat in the ginger mixture. Now place a muslin cloth on the steamer and add the wheat mixture. Add partially soaked wheat with the ginger mixture on the cloth and just cover it to steam for 15-20 minutes. After 15 minutes check and transfer the wheat into a bowl. Then add chopped onions, salt, coriander leaves, lime juice, chopped tomatoes, ginger marinade mixture and mix it well. Meanwhile just place a ring on a plate and transfer the wheat mixture in to the ring. Now add the sweet potato pieces on the mixture and take away the ring. Garnish with ghee and lime juice.
