SWEET POTATO BOORELU

Ingredients used in SWEET POTATO BOORELU
• Sweet potato - 4-6 numbers.
• Jaggery - 1 cup.
• Cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coconut (grated) - 1 tablespoon.
• All purpose flour - 1 cup.
• Wheat flour - 3 teaspoons.
• Salt - 1 pinch.
• Cooking soda - 1 pinch.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • Boil sweet potato and peel skin and grate it.
  • Heat pan, add jaggery, 1 cup grated sweet potato, cardamom powder and mix it.
  • Once jaggery dissolves add coconut and switch off the flame. Mix nicely and allow it cool down.
  • Take small dumpling of the mixture and make round balls.
  • Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, wheat flour, salt, soda and mix nicely using water to make a thick bajji batter consistency. Coat the sweet potato balls and deep fry in hot oil.
  • Transfer to a paper towel.

Now sweet potato boorelu are ready to serve.
