Ingredients used in Tadka Dal With Capsicum Bell Pepper
• Ghee - 1 tablespoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 3 springs.
• Hing (asafoetida) - pinch.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Garlic - 5 number.
• Green chillies (chopped) - 3 number.
• Red capsicum (chopped) - 1/2 number.
• Green capsicum (chopped) - 1/2 number.
• Yellow capsicum (chopped) - 1/2 number.
• Toor dal - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Boil toor dal to a thin consistency and keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, when they splutter, add dry red chilies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, saute them.
  • Now add chopped onion pieces, turmeric powder, chopped garlic and green chilies, saute it, add capsicum pieces(red, green, yellow), boiled toor dal, adjust the seasoningsand serve hot.
