Papdis are crisp, small flour crackers or pooris laced with either carom or cumin seeds or both. They are used in most chaat snacks like papdi chaat, sev puri, dahi papdi chaat or bhel puri.

Ingredients used in BAKED MASALA PAPDI
• Whole wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Oats - 1/4 cup.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Onions - 1/2 cup.
• Tomatoes - 1/2 cup.
• Green chilies - 1 number.
• Chat masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Lemon - 1/2 piece.
Method:
In a bowl add whole wheat flour, oats, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, water and make a dough. Divide into portions and Roll a thin chapatti from each part. Cut out Papadis using a cookie cutter. Prick with a fork. Repeat the process for all papdis. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Arrange on the baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or when till the edges start turning brown. Remove from the tray and bake the rest of the Papadis. In a bowl add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chilies, red chili powder, chat masala, chopped coriander leaves, lime juice and mix it nicely. In a serving plate place the papdis and masala on top of it. Now baked masala papdi is ready to eat.
