Ingredients used in Bitter Melon & Wild Bitter Melon Curry
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Dry coconut pieces - 4 number.
• Tarmarind - 1 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
• Aa kakarakaya pieces - 15 number.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Jaggery - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Dry roast coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, dry coconut pieces, tamarind, sesame seeds tillthey slightly change in color, transfer to a blender, grind to a coarse powder and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped bitter melon, baby wild bitter melon, fry well and transfer to a plate.
  • In the same pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chilies, toss it, add turmeric powder, curry leaves, chopped onions, saute well, add ginger garlic paste, coarselyground powder and cook well.
  • Now add jaggery, red chili powder andcook by adding required amount of water, transfer fried bitter melon and baby wild bitter melon pieces, adjust seasoning, add coriander leaves, mix well and cook for about 2 minutes.

Delicious Bitter Melon & Wild Bitter Melon Curry is now ready to serve with hot rice.
