Ingredients used in Bottle Gourd Kofta Curry |
• Bottle gourd (grated) - 1 cup. |
• Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon. |
• Salt - to taste. |
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon. |
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch. |
• Chick pea flour - 1 tablespoon. |
• Oil - as required. |
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon. |
• Dry red chilies - 3 numbers. |
• Kalonji seeds - 1 tea spoon. |
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon. |
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon. |
• Curry leaves - 1 springs. |
• Hing - 1/2 tea spoon. |
• Onion (chopped) - 1 tea spoon. |
• Salt - to taste. |
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon. |
• Coconut - 1/2 cup. |
• Gingelly seeds ( sesame seeds) - 1 tea spoon. |
• Peanuts - 1 tablespoon. |
• Green chillies - 4 numbers. |
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon. |
• Tamarind pulp - 1 cup. |
• Jaggery - 1 tea spoon. |
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch. |
• Mint leaves - 1/2 bunch. |
Method: |
- In a bowl add grated bottle gourd, cumin powder, salt, red chili powder, coriander leaves, chick pea flour and mix it well and make it like muthia and deep fry in hot oil. And keep aside.
- In a blender add coconut, sesame seeds, peanuts and make a paste and keep aside.
- Take a pan and add oil, mustard seeds, dry red chilies, kalonji seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, hing and saute it well.
- Now add turmeric powder, prepared paste and cook it well.
- Add green chilies, coriander powder, tamarind pulp, jaggery, coriander leaves, mint leaves and cook it.
At last add muthia and serve it.
